While most of the attention is on the un-committed prospects taking official visits to Kansas State, do not forget about the prospects already committed. All three of the first commitments of the 2025 class have visited K-State. Dillon Duff, Weston Polk and Will Kemna were all in Manhattan June 7-9.
Duff was the first commit of the 2025 class for the Wildcats.
“The visit was great, feels more and more like home each time that I go. I enjoyed the time spent with the coaching staff, current players, and potential teammates,” Duff began. “This time was a little different as I got to soak in the moment more as a commit rather than the weight of where I was committing. K-State showed the love, it was great.”
One moment in particular on his visit stood out to him.
“Spending time with my middle school teammates (Lucas Allgeyer and Leo Almanza) and taking the picture with our middle school jerseys together,” he shared. “I hope that they will join me in Manhattan and bring the squad back together.”
It was a busy weekend in Manhattan June 7-9. 11 official visitors were at Kansas State. Duff enjoyed being around the other prospects.
“It was great, I’ve become pretty close with a lot of them. Most of us have kept in touch over the phone so spending time in person was fun,” he pointed out. “A couple have committed since the trip too so there are definitely good relationships forming.”
K-State tight end Will Anciaux was the host of Duff for the weekend. The two formed a solid relationship quickly.
“Will was a very helpful host and a genuine dude in general. I enjoyed learning more about K-State through his words and getting to know him personally as well,” he opined. “If those are the types of dudes I’ll be playing amongst, then I couldn’t be happier.”
The official visit was also more time for Duff to be around his future position coach Matt Wells.
“He’s as good as it gets in a position group, but also a great guy to be around. My family and I are so grateful and optimistic for the opportunity to learn and develop from Coach Wells,” he revealed. “He’s been a pivotal reason as to why I believe K-State is my home. We always have a great time around him.”
The rising senior quarterback has a message to any Kansas State prospect thinking about committing.
“If you’re looking for a place that is not only going to turn you into a great football player but also a person who succeeds in everything they do while surrounding yourself with a brotherhood and a coaching staff that genuinely loves and cares for you, K-State is your place,” he concluded. “With all the chaos and lies that go on in college football nowadays, K-State separates themselves from the rest by sticking to what’s real and important.”
Duff will also be enrolling early and plans to be on campus in January.
