Former First Lady Melania Trump is expected to headline a Log Cabin Republicans fundraising event next month in New York, Politico exclusively reports, three days ahead of her husband, Donald Trump's sentencing in his Manhattan hush money trial.

Requesting that attendees "contribute up to $100,000" to benefit the pro-Trump "Road to Victory" program, the news outlet notes this will be the second fundraiser for the organization since the MAGA hopeful kicked off his 2024 campaign.

Ahead of the group's first event, which took place at the former president's Mar-a-Lago estate, The Associated Press reported,"Melania Trump had for months not appeared at her husband’s campaign events, notably being absent at his victory party on Super Tuesday. Her attendance at the fundraiser — for a group she has previously supported — could be a sign that she will ramp up her schedule with several months left before the November election."

Similarly, Politico notes that "the famously private Trump has kept a low profile throughout her husband’s third presidential campaign, never speaking publicly about any of his legal troubles. She has generally steered clear of political events, though there have been a few exceptions."

A copy of the July 8 event's invitation, according to Politico, lauds Log Cabin Republicans as "the nation’s largest Republican organization dedicated to representing LGBT conservatives and allies."
