Russia's losses in Ukraine as of June 18: 1,230 troops and 16 tanks

Ukrainian defenders eliminated another 1,230 Russian occupiers over the past day, bringing the total enemy army personnel losses since the start of the large-scale invasion to approximately 528,620 soldiers. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) destroyed 16 tanks, 20 armored combat vehicles, and 32 artillery systems of the enemy, citing the General Staff of the UAF.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to June 18, 2024, are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: 528,620 (+1,230) eliminated
  • Tanks: 7,974 (+16)
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 15,307 (+20)
  • Artillery systems: 13,959 (+32)
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1,104
  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 853
  • Aircraft: 359
  • Helicopters: 326
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 11,187 (+20)
  • Cruise missiles: 2,297 (+1)
  • Warships/boats: 28
  • Submarines: 1
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 19,031 (+40)
  • Special equipment: 2,344 (+7)

Frontline situation

Earlier, the General Staff of the UAF reported late on June 17 that there had been 119 combat engagements on the front over the past day.

The military command's report also indicated that in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched 42 attacks, 32 of which were repelled. Here, the Russians persist in their attempts to find weak spots in the UAF's defense, continuously assaulting them to try to penetrate the combat formations of the Ukrainian defenders.
