Arsenal’s first five 2024/25 Premier League fixtures compared with title rivals Liverpool and Man City

The 2024/25 Premier League fixture list is now out, so here is how Arsenal’s first five games of the new season compare to their title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

Arsenal will expect to go toe-to-toe with Manchester City once again in 24/25 after pushing the Citizens closest in the past two seasons. Liverpool will also hope the foundations Jurgen Klopp left at Anfield means Arne Slot launches his tenure on Merseyside with a strong start.

Slot has taken charge of the Reds as their new head coach as Klopp resigned before guiding Liverpool to third place. The Anfield outfit finished 2023/24 nine points behind Manchester City, while Arsenal missed out on winning their first top-flight title in 20 years by two points.

It marked the second successive season that Arsenal ended the Premier League term as the runners-up, as well. Arteta will now bid to go one better and bring success back to Emirates Stadium in 24/25. He also knows Arsenal’s full fixture list for the new Premier League term.

The Premier League has confirmed that Arsenal’s first fixture of the 2024/25 season will see Arteta’s side play host to Wolves at Emirates Stadium to begin their campaign on August 17.

Chelsea’s first five 24/25 Premier League fixtures

Chelsea ended the 23/24 season strongly to secure sixth place, before parting with Mauricio Pochettino and appointing Enzo Maresca. The Italian will now launch his tenure at Stamford Bridge by overseeing the Blues as they host Manchester City on August 18 to start 2024/25.

Manchester City made history in 23/24 by becoming the first side to lift four Premier League titles in a row. Pep Guardiola will now commence the Citizens’ newest defence of the trophy when his Etihad Stadium team head to west London to face Chelsea on Sunday, August 18.
