Derby County fans are now all in agreement as the club tease new 24/25 kit on social media

Derby County fans are all in agreement after the club dropped a tease for the 2024/25 kit on social media.

Derby announced in April that their 10-year partnership with Umbro was coming to an end.

The Rams later revealed that Puma would become the new official kit and training partner for the 2024/25 campaign, leaving fans excited about the prospect of such an iconic brand returning to their shirts.

For some, there’s an element of nostalgia as Derby donned Puma in the mid-90s during their successful years in the Premier League, while others liked the style and wanted them to replicate it on a modern shirt.

With excitement now building ahead of their return to the Championship, many are now wondering when they can expect to see the new kit and most importantly, when it will be available to buy.

Derby County fans react as the club tease new kit on social media

Derby supporters would have hoped to have seen the new kit by now or at least a new signing, but they currently have neither.

Fortunately, it has been revealed on their official social media account that Thursday 27th June is the date when the new kit will drop.

This has understandably left fans feeling impatient as they’ve waited so long for an update, only for the club to tease an announcement.

Reacting to this post via X, one fan asked for the club to unveil Ebou Adams as a new signing while wearing the kit, saying: “Hope Ebou is revealing the new kit.”

That would be a dream scenario for Derby supporters as Adams was incredible on loan from Cardiff and now want to sign him permanently.

Another fan must have seen the notification pop up on his phone, expecting to see a new signing, “Got me thinking it was a signing,” he said.

This was a sentiment echoed by a third supporter, who said: “Next Thursday? Why not now. At least gives us a signing to keep us satisfied.”

A fifth supporter couldn’t contain their excitement, saying: “Puma. Let’s gooooo,” while another linked back to a previous announcement which said it would be available to purchase this month. He said: “Possibly released and in stores on the 27th then… I’m sure the original article said it’d be available to purchase this month.”

Derby County are close to their first signing

Alan Nixon revealed on Monday that Warne is now close to signing a couple of players for Derby.

That could be Brighton midfielder Marc Leonard, who the Rams are claimed to be interested in, although six clubs have tabled bids for the 22-year-old.

It’s a possibility that the club are also in discussions with striker target Josh Windass, who rejected a new contract with Sheffield Wednesday last week and will be available to sign on a free transfer.

The signing that supporters want it to be the most, though, is Adams from Cardiff as many have even said they’re praying for a double announcement next week.

Hopefully, supporters will be celebrating a new signing alongside the kit announcement very soon.
