Fabrizio Romano has said West Ham United have made contact to sign a £45m-rated plater with 127 Premier League appearances.
Julen Lopetegui has wasted no time in getting down to business, having already signed talented Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme.
Now, it seems the former Wolves boss is keen to add to his defence, as a fresh link emerges out of the London Stadium.

West Ham United make contact to sign Max Kilman
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano took to X on Tuesday afternoon confirming that West Ham have started talks to sign Wolves centre-back Max Kilman.
“Understand West Ham are showing concrete interest in Max Kilman, centre back who’s highly rated by Julen Lopetegui,” Romano wrote.
“Not an easy deal as Wolves want to keep him but West Ham are now exploring this option, contacts started.”
Lopetegui worked with Kilman during his stint at Wolves, so it could be a pretty straightforward deal to do on the player’s side.
The cost of Max Kilman
Kilman reportedly has a £45m pricetag, which could deter The Hammers from making a move.
The 27-year-old only signed a new deal last summer and is under contract at Molineux until 2028, so Wolves are in a strong negotiating position.
Kilman was tracked by Serie A giants Napoli last summer, who had a bid just shy of £30m turned down by the West Midlanders.
Perhaps West Ham could test the water with an offer slightly over that fee to see if Wolves budge, if not, then they should quickly move on to other targets.
A telling few weeks await the East London club.
