Most battles occur on Pokrovsk and Siversk fronts - Ukraine' General Staff

As of the beginning of the day, June 18, the number of combat engagements on the frontline has reached 56. Half of them took place in the Pokrovsk and Siversk directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Sectors

In the Kharkiv sector, the number of combat engagements increased to four. All of them took place in the area of Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russians made 6 assault attacks. The battle near Synkivka is ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Russia attacked 5 times. Fighting is currently taking place in the vicinity of Hrekivka, Makiivka and Terny.

In the Siversk sector, the number of combat engagements near Verkhnekamianske, Rozdolivka, and Vyymka increased to 13. Russia was rebuffed.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia tried to storm the areas of the Hryhorivka and Novyi neighborhoods. The battle is currently ongoing in the area of Ivanivske.

Most of the fighting took place in the Pokrovsk sector. Russians tried to improve their position 5 times. Currently, there are six battles in the areas of Yevhenivka, Novooleksandrivka, and Novopokrovske.

In the Kurakhove sector, two Russian attacks near Krasnohorivka are currently being repelled.

In the Vremivka sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled another Russian attack near Urozhaine.

In the Orikhiv sector, in addition to an unsuccessful attack near Novodanylivka, Russians launched 3 attacks with multiple rocket launchers near Vozdvyzhivka.

Situation at front

According to the General Staff, over the past day, June 17, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,230 Russian occupants. In total, Russian losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have exceeded 528 thousand personnel. Also, 16 tanks and more were destroyed.
