Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'reach out' to Princess Kate as olive branch hangs in the balance

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reached out to Princess Kate and extended an olive branch, a source has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's relationship with Prince William and Princess Kate has deteriorated over the last few years.

Meghan and Harry stepped down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020 and moved to the US later that year.

The couple have taken multiple public swipes at Kate and William with the most notable occurring in a 2021 TV interview with Oprah Winfrey and Harry's autobiography Spare, which was published in January 2023.

The Princess of Wales announced in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

Kate's announcement came one month after Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles had a form of cancer.

Prince Harry rushed to the UK to see his father after the cancer diagnosis was made public.

However, the Duke of Sussex has not seen Kate since her cancer diagnosis.

Harry and his wife Meghan are now ready to end their feud with the Royal Family, according to an insider.

The source told Closer: "Meghan's desperate to come across as the bigger person and end this feud between them – appearing like some sort of royal saviour could only do her image good.

"And, despite all their bad blood, her heart does go out to Kate - she can only imagine how hard this situation must be for her.

"Meghan has made it clear she'd love nothing more than to move past all the nonsense and find a way towards healing for everyone's sake. She's ready to let the anger and bitterness go.

"Of course, it's not really up to her and Harry, all they can do is continue to reach out and offer olive branches."

It is unclear whether Princess Kate and Prince William would be open to resolving their feud with the Sussexes.

Following his February 2024 appearance in London, Harry outlined that he would see his family as much as possible during several planned trips to the UK this year.

However, during his most recent visit in May 2024, the Duke of Sussex did not see King Charles or Prince William.
