Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday took a shot at CNN anchor Jim Acosta for seemingly using dye to darken his hair, but his mockery quickly came back to haunt him.

Writing on Twitter, Trump Jr. posted an older photo of Acosta in which he had grayer hair and compared it to a photo still taken of Acosta on CNN this week which showed him with darker hair.

"LOL looks like CNN Fake News loser Acosta got an embarrassingly bad hair dye job," he commented, followed by three laughing emojis.

This prompted many commentators to warn Trump Jr. about the dangers of throwing rocks from inside glass houses given his father's own famous mishaps with his hair.

"Jesus Christ, the lack of awareness is astounding," wrote Democratic operative Chris D. Jackson, who then posted a photo of Trump with a windblown cowlick.

"Your father bleaches his hair and spray tans his face and he still looks like s--t," countered Democratic strategist Ally Sammarco.

"There’s something disturbingly wrong with you," replied professional model Jules Morgan. "Are you saying your convicted felon daddy has naturally yellow hair?? Do you laugh at him when he dyes his hair yellow and paints his pale white face orange with makeup??"

New York Magazine columnist Jon Chait, meanwhile, sarcastically commented that Trump's "hair dye is so convincing nobody suspects a thing."

Louisiana State University English professor Lana Wiggins, meanwhile, posted an infamous photo of hair dye rolling down ex-Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani's face during one of his post-2020 election press conferences and simply wrote, "Bruh... really?"

ANother user posted what appeared to be a photo from Trump Jr.'s college yearbook along with the caption, "Sure. Let's talk about hair, Junior."

Acosta frequently sparred with the Trump White House during the former president's one term in office and they even went so far as to take away his press pass.
