Drone attack on oil depot in Rostov region: Satellite images of aftermath appear

On the night of June 18, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot in the city of Azov, Rostov region, Russia. Satellite images of the attack aftermath have been posted online, showing a massive fire, according to Radio Liberty.

According to satellite images taken at 02:30 p.m. Kyiv time, a fire continues to rage at the oil depot.

However, it is difficult to assess the extent of the damage to the oil depot, due to thick smoke limiting visibility.

Journalists note that the affected oil depot belongs to Azovprodukt company. Up to 60,000 tons of oil products pass through this Russian terminal per month, and up to 30,000 cubic meters of oil products can be stored in tanks that caught fire as a result of the Ukrainian drone attack.

Attack of drones on oil refinery in Rostov region

On the night of June 18, a drone attack targeted an oil refinery in the city of Azov, Rostov region, Russia, causing tanks with oil products to catch fire.

In the morning, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported that the fire area at the oil refinery in the Azov district of Rostov region was 5,000 cubic meters.

Later, a source from RBC-Ukraine informed that today's attack on the oil refineries in Rostov region is a special operation by the Security Service of Ukraine.
