The Ukrainian Defense Forces note a trend of Russian submarines constantly present in the Black Sea, regardless of whether they are missile carriers, states Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk.

"Essentially, you can see that this situation is, so to speak, now fixed. And there is a clear trend that submarines are constantly present in the Black Sea," said Pletenchuk.

According to him, in the Azov-Black Sea region, specifically in the Black Sea, there are four submarines, three of which are cruise missile carriers, while one has not gone to sea recently.

The military official suggested that the Russian forces are attempting to patrol the Black Sea as much as possible this way. However, they do not dare to deploy surface ships.

Pletenchuk emphasized that the main means of patrolling are Russian aviation and drones.

Situation in the Black and Azov Seas

Previously, the Ukrainian Navy reported the presence of four Kalibr cruise missile carriers in the Black and Azov Seas.

Later, Pletenchuk announced that a strike group of Russian ships was conducting exercises in the Azov Sea.
