Report: Wolves think 'rapid' striker target is worth less than £25m, his club value him at £35m

Wolves are said to value one of their most prominent transfer targets of recent times at under £25 million.

Gary O’Neil has enjoyed a productive start to the summer having already landed three players.

Tommy Doyle is a permanent Wolves player following his loan move from Manchester City. Rodrigo Gomes signed from Braga and most recently, Pedro Lima is signing for the club from Sport Recife on July 1 after an agreement was reached on Monday.

Fans are hoping more new faces will be coming in ahead of 2024/25, and that the squad will be a bit more packed compared to 2023/24.

Fans saw how injuries really hurt Wolves as they tried to push for European football.

One of the reasons Wolves dropped off was because O’Neil couldn’t bring in a striker.

Armando Broja was a target for the club but ultimately Wolves were priced out by Chelsea as they targeted him on loan.

Now, Wolves are interested in Broja again, and a new claim has been made about the Albania international.

Broja joined Fulham in January, with the Cottagers having no qualms about paying the loan fee set by Chelsea, believed to be around £4 million.

It wasn’t a good spell for him though, with the striker making just eight appearances for the club. He failed to score for the Cottagers.

Despite his struggles there, Wolves remain interested in the player.

Broja has a lot of interest in him at the moment, including from Saudi Arabia.

Give Me Sport have produced a run-down of players currently at Euro 2024 who could be on the move this summer, and Broja features on their list.

The publication claim Wolves, Everton and Crystal Palace are all keen, as well as Italian giants AC Milan, who are said to be ‘one of the more serious suitors’.

Wolves, Palace and Milan are all said to value Broja at below £25 million. Chelsea, are said to be hoping for around £35 million, which could potentially make things complicated.

Wolves right to value Broja below £25m

Wolves clearly like Broja a fair bit. The club attempted to sign him on loan in January, but just weren’t in the financial position to beat Fulham.

Competition for the ‘rapid’ Broja is seemingly quite strong and Wanderers may have their work cut out to sign him.

Despite not having the best time at Fulham, Broja is a wanted man. Seemingly, clubs see potential in him to do much better than what he showed at both Craven Cottage and Stamford Bridge.

It is difficult to see how clubs can value him over £25 million at the moment though. The apparent £35 million valuation from Chelsea is simply ludicrous.

Ultimately, his record in the Premier League is eight goals scored in 66 appearances, which is nothing to shout home about.

Wolves are probably right to value him below £25 million. But it could just be that someone will come in and pay more than that for his potential.
