Heart-Pounding Moment Fearless Ukraine ‘Black Swan’ Rescuers Dodge SIX Russian Shells and Bomb Drones on Medevac Mission

Recently released video footage shows two rescuers from the "Black Swan" unit of the 225th Separate Assault Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dodging Russian shells and drone attacks to save a fellow soldier.

Knewz.com has learned that the "Black Swan" operatives who miraculously pulled off the medevac mission are named Mikhalych and Kesha.

Reminiscent of the Steven Spielberg film Saving Private Ryan, the video footage showed the two soldiers trying to make it back safely from the mission onboard a military vehicle as Russian aerial elements continued to try and pound them - and miss by a few feet.

The video has been shared by the official Telegram channel of the Black Swan unit and shows the point of view of one of the soldiers seated inside the vehicle, which captured Russian drones flying overhead.

As the vehicle zigzagged through the war-torn land, a total of six Russian shells and bomb drones tried to take them out. While the first one seemingly gave the rescuers a wide berth, the ones that followed were dangerously close as the Black Swan operatives skillfully avoided them.

The video ends with one of the operatives quickly carrying the fallen or injured soldier out of the vehicle after seemingly reaching their destination.

"Mykhalych and Kesya saved another life," the caption of the video shared on telegram read. "For us, human life — is the most valuable. This is our main difference from the enemy."

"This is how civilization differs from [Soviet], the new Ukrainian army from the old one. When you are sure that you will be followed through fire and water, when you go through hell for your brother — it changes you from within. And it's not just the words — it's the actions we document and share with you," the post added.

"Before the war, we did not love each other as much as we do now. Before the war, we did not value life as much. Before the war, we did not know what true dedication and faith in a better "tomorrow" were."

"To every fellow, every volunteer, everyone who helps the army — glory to the Heroes! Let's fight, let's win!"

The dramatic footage emerged days after more than 80 other countries and international organizations signed a joint statement in support of the call to cease all hostilities between Ukraine and Russia.

By signing the joint statement, the signatories reaffirmed their commitment to "refraining from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, the principles of sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of all states, including Ukraine, within their internationally recognized borders," per CNN.

The peace summit, held at a lakeside resort near Lucerne, Switzerland, was attended by over 100 countries and organizations and aimed at building up support for the ten-point peace plan first formulated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky back in 2022.

"[It is] important that all participants of this summit support Ukraine’s territorial integrity because there will be no lasting peace without territorial integrity," Zelensky told reporters on the sidelines of the summit, according to CNN.

While attending the peace summit, United States Vice President Kamala Harris announced a $1.5 billion aid package "that would go toward humanitarian expenditures and help Kyiv rebuild its battered infrastructure."

On the other hand, Ukrainian forces have been engaged in a standoff with reportedly trapped Russian soldiers at the Vovchansk Aggregate Factory in Kharkiv Oblast following a precision-guided smart bomb strike on Russian infantry positions, per Kyiv Post.
