A tense exchange developed on video between a Fox News reporter and a Connecticut political operative accused of abusing the absentee balloting system in the 2019 Democratic primary for Bridgeport mayor.

In footage shared Tuesday night on Fox News' popular show "Jesse Watters Primetime," reporter Johnny Belisario follows Wanda Geter-Pataky, vice chairwoman of the city’s Democratic Party, into a smoke shop.

"Wanda! Arrested for ballot fraud?" asks Belisario. "What's going on?"

"Stop following me," she responds, turning her back and walking into the store, then doing an abrupt about-face, making a bee-line for a vehicle.

"Excuse me, Wanda. What's going on? Wanda, you were also caught stuffing," Belisario quips, following Geter-Pataky to her car. "What happened? Wanda? Wanda, don't you want to come clean? Wanda, what about the person whose ballot you've... had for 10 years? Wanda?"

Standing next to the driver's side door, Belisario shrugs. "Wanda what happened?"

As she reverses out of her on-street parking spot, her black hatchback comes uncomfortably close to Belisario.

"Wanda — don't run me over Wanda!" he said with a short laugh and holding up a hand.

Prosecutors in the state charged four political operatives this month with unlawfully possessing another person’s absentee ballot, as well as other election-related charges.
