The June 2024 Nintendo Direct brought with it a slew of games, both old and new, coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2024 and 2025. While no new information was given about Nintendo’s next gaming system, Nintendo fans were notified of long-awaited titles in fan-favorite series.
Among the direct highlights are a new Mario and Luigi game, a new Legend of Zelda game and gameplay footage of Metroid Prime 4, which was revealed in 2017. This Nintendo Direct was jam-packed with games, giving Nintendo fans a lot to look forward to in the coming year.
Mario and Luigi: Brothership

Mario and Luigi: Brothership brings the franchise to the Switch for the first, complete with a unique cel-shaded art style, the classic Mario and Luigi combat, and platforming fun. Mario and Luigi: Brothership is slated for November 7, 2024.
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition lets players compete like professional speedrunners in classic NES titles. Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition launches on July 18.
Fantasian: Neo Dimension
From the creator of Final Fantasy comes Fantasian: Neo Dimension. Originally an Apple Arcade exclusive, this RPG launches on Switch this holiday season.
Nintendo Switch Sports
Nintendo Switch Sports is getting a new update this summer, adding basketball into the game.
Mio Memories in Orbit
Mio Memories in Orbit is a brand-new Metroidvania game. Players take control of an android and navigate their way through a perilous sci-fi world. The game will be released in 2025.

Disney Illusion Island is getting a new update, adding a detective theme to the game. This update launched following the direct.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure
A new open-world adventure with Hello Kitty characters is coming to Switch in 2025. Players will be able to create their own characters and interact with the Hello Kitty characters on the island.
Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports
A new sports game featuring Looney Tunes characters was revealed. In Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports, players will take control of various Looney Tunes characters to compete in multiple arcade-style sports. Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports launches in Autumn.
Among Us
Among Us received a new update following the Direct. This includes new tasks and all new crewmate roles. The new Tracker crewmate can track other players using a map, the new Phantom imposter can turn invisible, and the noisemaker can alert players to deaths.
Farmagia
Farmagia mixes farming and monster fighting together in a brand-new RPG. Players will grow crops that sprout into powerful monsters players can use in battle. Farmagia launches on November 1.
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD
A remaster of Donkey Kong Country Returns is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Originally a Wii title, Donkey Kong Country Returns later saw a release on the 3DS with additional content. This added content will also be included in the Switch release. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD launches on January 16, 2025.
Dragon Quest I-III HD-2D Remake
The previously announced Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake received a new trailer. Remade in the HD-2D style, the first chronological game in the Erdrick trilogy launches on November 14. Following this trailer, it was revealed that Dragon Quest I and II will get the HD-2D treatment in 2025.
Funko Fusion
A new game where players can choose from over 60 Funko Pops is launching on September 13.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD
A new look at Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD was shown. The 3DS titles’ remaster launches next week on June 27.
The New Denpa Men
A free timed exclusive, The New Denpa Men, launches for Switch on July 22.
Metal Slug Attack Reloaded
Metal Slug Attack Reloaded is a tower defense game in the Metal Slug series. The game was stealth-dropped following the Direct.

Darkest Dungeon 2 received a new trailer. This game is set to launch on July 15.
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack
New titles were shown for the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Four Swords and Metroid: Zero Mission are being added from the GBA and the N64, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Perfect Dark. The two N64 titles are a part of the new “Nintendo 64 Mature Collection,” a collection of rated M games. Perfect Dark‘s addition follows Microsoft’s announcing a new title in the series during their presentation.
Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero
In a new title in the Phantom Brave series, players will use phantoms for combat and puzzle-solving in this grid-less tactical RPG. The game is set to release in 2025.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Fighting Collection Arcade Classics
This Marvel and Capcom games collection brings seven classic arcade titles to the Switch, including the fan-favorite fighting game Marvel vs Capcom 2. This collection launches later this year.
Super Mario Party Jamboree
The next entry in the Mario Party series was revealed. A follow-up to 2018’s Super Mario Party, Jamboree takes players to an island resort featuring five new boards, two returning boards, over 110 minigames and a new online mode with 20 players.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
The next entry in The Legend of Zelda franchise was unveiled. A top-down game with the same art style as Link’s Awakening Remake, Echoes of Wisdom puts a twist on the franchise by having players control Zelda trying to save Link. Zelda can copy nearly any item in the game and use them to attack enemies and solve puzzles, making it so every player will have a different experience with the game. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom launches on September 26 alongside a Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch Lite.
Just Dance 2025 Edition
A trailer for the next Just Dance game was shown, launching in October.
Lego Horizon Adventures
Shown during Summer Game Fest, Lego Horizon Adventures will launch later this year.
Stray
A port of 2022’s indie darling, Stary, players control a cat making its way through a cyberpunk city. The game will launch on Nintendo Switch later this year.
Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game
In a new cozy game set in the world of Lord of the Rings, players control their own hobbit, farming, cooking and caring for their hobbit hole. Players can start their new lives in the Shire later this year.
Ace Attorney Investigations Collection
The third Ace Attorney collection to Switch, Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, brings the second Investigations title to the West for the first time. The game includes completely remastered visuals and the option to switch to the original DS sprites. Ace Attorney Investigations Collection launches on September 6.
The Hundred Line Last Defense Academy
From the creator of Danganronpa, players take control of Takumi Sumino as he protects his school from invaders for 100 days. This title will be released in early 2025.
Romacing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven
