'No need': James Maddison reacts after seeing what Tottenham have posted on Instagram

James Maddison has reacted after seeing what Tottenham Hotspur have posted on their official Instagram account.

The Premier League fixtures have been announced for the 2024/25 campaign and Tottenham will kick off their season with a trip to newly-promoted Leicester City.

It will see James Maddison return to the King Power Stadium for the first time since his £40 million switch to Spurs last summer.

Tottenham’s last trip to Leicester ended in a heavy 4-1 defeat under Antonio Conte but the Italian enjoyed a memorable evening in the Midlands in his debut season.

Steven Bergwijn’s dramatic stoppage-time brace earned Spurs a 3-2 win over the Foxes during the 2021/22 season.

Maddison was the man who had put Leicester 2-1 up just 20 minutes before Bergwijn’s heroics from the bench.

Spurs were keen to remind supporters of that memorable night in the Midlands after the fixtures were announced on Tuesday and Maddison has reacted.

Tottenham will face a couple of difficult away games when they kick off Ange Postecoglou’s second season in charge.

Spurs also have a north London derby at home in just their fourth game of the season.

Postecoglou will undoubtedly be keen to get off to a quick start after suffering five defeats in his last seven league games last season.
