John Terry reacts as Chelsea's Champions League winner Ryan Bertrand confirms his retirement

Former Chelsea player Ryan Bertrand officially confirmed his retirement from football on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old defender has been without a club since leaving Leicester City last summer, so his announcement doesn’t come as the biggest surprise to anyone.

Ryan Bertrand spent 10 years on Chelsea’s books at the start of his career. Afterwards, he enjoyed six years at Southampton. Plus, he earned 19 senior international caps for England.

The left-back won four pieces of silverware in his career (three Chelsea, one Leicester).

He’s famous for making his Champions League debut in the final back in 2012 when the Blues beat Bayern Munich in their own ground.
