Report: Champions League club set to fail with 'cheeky' offer to sign £50m Chelsea player

Chelsea won’t be entertaining one of the offers that they’re set to receive this summer for their £50m-rated player.

While Blues supporters will be most excited about any incomings at Stamford Bridge, there’s several individuals in the squad linked with exits.

There was a huge turnover of the squad last summer, so let’s see what kind of squad new head coach Enzo Maresca is left with by the time the season starts.

Chelsea will reject bid for midfielder

The Sun claims that Chelsea are set to reject a ‘cheeky’ bid from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid for Conor Gallagher.

It is understood that the La Liga club, who have qualified for next season’s Champions League, have expressed interest in signing Gallagher.

The report says that Atletico may try to make a bid to sign the 24-year-old Chelsea and England midfielder on loan, but that is likely to be unsuccessful.

Apparently, the Blues are only interested in permanent offers this summer, but Atletico are struggling to meet his £50m price tag.

Chelsea will listen to offers for their talented central midfielder, whose contract is entering its final year, but a move to Madrid is seeming unlikely.

What will happen with Conor Gallagher?

It feels like a waiting game regarding Gallagher’s future while he still at the Euros with England.

While we don’t agree with Chelsea’s stance to cash in on Gallagher, we do respect that the club would knock back any loan offers. It would make very little sense to allow him to leave on loan during the final year of his deal.

GiveMeSport recently claimed that Gallagher would prefer to stay next season at Chelsea even if it means leaving on a free transfer next summer.
