Ukrainian General Staff updates frontline: 80 clashes since day started

Since the beginning of the day, the number of combat clashes has increased to 80. The Russian troops made 28 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the onslaught of the Russian occupation forces. As of now, the number of combat clashes has increased to 80. Ukrainian defenders are preventing the Russian occupiers' attempts to break through our defense and inflicting losses on them,” the General Staff reports.

Sectors updates

In theKharkiv sector, the Russians continue to carry out air strikes on Ukrainian settlements. Four guided aerial bombs hit Vovchansk, two more the village of Borshchova, and six unguided aerial bombs hit Ternova.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russians are attacking with air support. Four firefights are currently taking place near Novoselivka, Synkivka, and Kruhliakivka.

In the Lyman sector, Russians attempted to attack eight times in the vicinity of Makiivka, Hrekivka, and Terny.

In the Siversk sector, fighting continues near Verkhnekamianske and Rozdolivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy is also attacking with the support of aviation. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has tried to push the Ukrainian Defense Forces back 15 times near Ivanivske, Nove, Kalynivka, Pivnichne, and Andriivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy carried out 28 attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Sokil, Novopokrovske, and Karlivka. Another five combat clashes are ongoing.

In the Kurakhove sector, fighting continues near Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka.

In the Vremivka sector, enemy aircraft attacked Velyka Novosilka three times.

Situation at front

According to analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian forces regained their positions in the Kharkiv region near Lyptsi during a counterattack. At the same time, the enemy is advancing near Vovchansk, they are putting pressure near Svatove and Avdiivka.
