A busy road has been closed after a crash which is causing “traffic chaos”.
Emergency services are at the scene of the incident which took place around 2pm this afternoon in New Road, East Malling.
Officers, paramedics and fire crews are all in attendance and a cordon has been put in place from Larkspur Road up to the bend heading towards the junction with Bradbourne Park Road, near London Road.
One witness, Gemma Everest, said she was driving to deliver ice cream when the driver in what she describes as a Vauxhall Corsa or Astra crashed.
The Everest Ice’s Taste The Nicest boss told KentOnline: “I was three cars behind when the crash happened.
“Officers closed the road off which caused gridlock because the road is really busy, especially during the school run.
“I was stuck myself for at least an hour.
“I hope the man is all OK. I am glad this didn’t happen an hour later as lots of school children walk down this road so there could have been very serious consequences.”
