Harry Jowsey has admitted he “doesn’t remember much” of filming Perfect Match season 2. He took part in the dating show after a 13-month sobriety, which is when he started drinking again.
Perfect Match was not smooth-sailing for Harry. He faced a huge kissing scandal on the Netflix show after Melinda claimed they had smooched three times, which he denied, claiming he’d only carried her.

Harry Jowsey has admitted he “doesn’t remember much” from his time on Perfect Match season 2. He was dating Jessica Vestal at the time but faced rumors he kissed co-star, Melinda, three times, but denied it.
He said on his podcast, Boyfriend Material, that he was drunk 90 percent of the time and wasn’t in the right headspace to be on the show because he’d just broken a 13-month sobriety.
The Netflix star admits he made many “dumb decisions” but was not in the right mindset to film the show. Harry even calls himself a “perfect mess” during the second season.
Harry claims he was “absolutely sideways 90 percent of the time” and said, “There’s a lot of conversations and things that we all see that I’m seeing for the first time and I’m like, ‘Why did I say that?'”
“If you look at my eyes, I look very drunk. I look like I’ve got problems, and I did have a lot of problems,” he continued. “I just want to preface that it was a year ago.” Harry was also going through a break-up.
The Perfect Match contestant admits he was “going through a hard time”. Harry would joke about drinking shots instead of water, and said he brought alcohol into the vans during challenge trips.
‘No limits with the alcohol’
Harry has opened up about how he’d do season 2 differently and has “lived 100 different lives” since it was filmed a year ago. He said, “There were no limits with the alcohol, so we just kept going.”
“I realized that maybe there’s alcoholic tendencies inside of me that were coming out like every day,” Harry said, admitting that he was drunk while speaking to Elys after their date.
He “didn’t know what was going on” but needed to “follow his heart”. Harry said, “Harry was so afraid of conflict and confrontation that I was like, what would be great is if I get drunk and figure it out later.”
