The dam for Kansas State commits in the 2025 class has busted. For the sixth time in the past 10 days, K-State has landed another commitment. Blue Valley linebacker Maguire Richman has committed to the Wildcats.
Richman’s announcement comes on the heels of an official visit to Kansas State. He is the second commitment from a busy weekend of official visits afterJoJo Scott announced his commitment. Richman and Scott were also joined in Manhattan by Brock Heath, Dominic Mitchell, Serious Stinyard, Isaiah Mizell, Gio Richardson, Sammy Etienne, and Julius Simms. Stinyard and Etienne both have committed to West Virginia while Simms committed to TCU.
Kansas State linebackers coach Steve Stanard has been on a heater on the recruiting trail. He has now landed two prospects in the past six days for the 2025 class. Stanard’s relationship with Richman put the Wildcats over the top of Iowa, where his brother is a starting offensive lineman. Richman also held offers from Memphis, North Dakota State, Toledo, Tulsa, and Wyoming in addition to the Wildcats and Hawkeyes. He had already visited Memphis and was scheduled to visit Iowa on June 21st. However, he will no longer be taking the trip to Iowa City.
K-State has been good at recruiting the state of Kansas in the past and under Chris Klieman. Specifically, the Wildcats have been excellent recruiting at Blue Valley High School under Klieman. Richman makes it three consecutive recruiting cycles in which Kansas State has received a scholarship commitment from the Kansas City area school. Other Blue Valley products to K-State include Sterling Lockett, Andre Davis, and John Price.
Overall, the linebacker is commitment No. 9 for Kansas State in the 2025 class. Richman joins Dillon Duff, Weston Polk, Will Kemna, Martel Jackson, Adonis Moise, Dalton Knapp, Sawyer Schilke and JoJo Scott. The rising senior is the second commitment from Kansas, joining Jackson. Richman has not yet been ranked by On3.
