Tylis Jordan, one of the top forwards in the 2025 class, is ready to announce his college decision. The 6-foot-9 rising senior out of Shiloh High School (GA) tells On3 he will commit on Friday, June 21st. Jordan has taken unofficial visits to the following programs — Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia Tech, LSU, Auburn, and Ole Miss. It’s safe to say that the four-star power forward will be committing to one of those six programs.

According to On3’s Top-150 Player Rankings, Jordan is the No. 24 overall recruit in the 2025 class. He’s also the No. 7 power forward and the No. 5 player in the state of Georgia.

During his high school junior season, Jordan averaged 21.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game. Shiloh finished with a 23-5 overall record.

Jordan talks programs involved

In a previous interview with On3, the Louisville, Georgia native discussed several of the schools he’s considering.

GEORGIA TECH: “I talk with them at least a couple of times a week. It’s the hometown school. We talk about trying to bring Atlanta back, that’s been a lot of what they’re trying to preach. They want to keep the Georgia kids home. Coach (Damon) Stoudamire is always trying to give me pointers on how to improve my game. You know, he was in the NBA and in the front office, so he knows what it takes as a big wing.”

ALABAMA: “I’ve been talking with the whole Alabama staff and they’re telling me how their play style translates to the NBA. That’s obviously a goal of mine for where I want to be. So they are spending their time showing me how their offense and their analytics line up to the style of play of the NBA. Just showing me how to get to my spots to take my shots and where I can be the most productive.”

OLE MISS: “Coach (Chris) Beard has been a winner everywhere he goes. He brought Ole Miss to a 20-win season in his first year. That’s big coming from where they were. He knows what it takes to be a winner and that is always good, being a winner. He wants to get me where I want to go.”

TENNESSEE: “Coach (Rick) Barnes coaches really hard. He knows how to get guys to the next level, I mean, he coached Kevin Durant, a long wing player, in college. Coach Barnes has the experience and the knowledge, he’s been doing this for years and he knows what it takes. He has relationships with all the NBA front offices. He can help me.”

What he’s looking for in a program

“I want to go where I can have the most productivity and be able to be used all around the court,” Jordan said in a previous interview. “I don’t want to be stuck in just one position or one area. I’ll want to go to somewhere that is going to help my game grow and be productive for the next level. Whatever university has that same plan and where I would fit in perfectly with their system will be the university I’ll probably be committing to.”

Scouting Report

“Tylis Jordan has eye-popping physical tools with excellent length, a strong base, and projectable frame. He is also a fluid athlete with natural pop. Over the last year, Jordan has developed his game into a translatable direction. He plays a lot out of the high post. He has shown he can knock down the mid range jumper off the catch. He can also attack downhill off two dribbles and put pressure on the rim. Jordan is an intriguing defensive prospect. He has natural timing around the basket, can slide his feet with perimeter based forwards, and get into the passing lanes. He still needs to continue working on his footwork and defensive rotations. Offensively, Jordan can knock down a three, would still like to see him work on that release and balance, but that is projecting as a weapon. At this point, Jordan is still coming into his own. He has shown a clear archetype pathway toward the highest levels. He has a lot of the tools that the highest levels of basketball crave. Now it is about reps and putting it all together.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
