Lara Trump On How Donald Trump Would Accept Republican Nomination From Jail

Donald Trump stands on the brink of sentencing, slated for July 11, after being nailed on 34 counts of falsifying business records, all tied up with a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels. This legal reckoning could catapult the United States into uncharted territory, where a former president might end up running a campaign from the confines of a cell.

Speaking to Real America’s Voice, Lara Trump, the Republican National Committee co-chair, said that former President Donald Trump would embrace the party’s nomination for the 2024 presidential race—even if he finds himself behind bars.

“It doesn’t matter whether Donald Trump is in Trump Tower, Mar-a-Lago, or anywhere else they may try to put him. On the day that we, as the Republican Party, will be nominating him as our official candidate and our official nominee for president, he will accept that no matter where he is,” she declared.
