Honey Boo Boo hasn’t even gone to college yet, but her boyfriend, Dralin, is eager to become a father. She’s on a totally different page to her partner, as she doesn’t currently want children.
Teenage pregnancy is a no-no for Honey Boo Boo. However, her beau, Dralin, sees their relationship moving quickly and has expressed his wishes to start a family with Alana Thompson.
Honey Boo Boo’s boyfriend wants kids
Honey Boo Boo’s boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, is keen to have multiple kids. However, they are on completely different pages despite being in a relationship for three years – since she was 15.
She told Daily Mail, “He wants kids and I don’t want kids. I told him after I graduate school and stuff then that would be the time to talk about kids. I definitely don’t want no kids while I’m in school, for sure.”
Although Alana’s mother, Mama June Shannon, had her first child at 14 years old, she doesn’t want to follow suit. Dralin and Alan have lived together since she met him at 15, and he was 20.
Juggling college as mom is a no-no
Alana is only just completing her studies at college, but she does have a committed boyfriend to spend time with, too. He gave her a promise ring when they first got together.
Although they often talk about marriage, she wants to “at least finish school first” to walk down the aisle, as told to US Weekly. She also refuses to talk about having any kids until she’s graduated!
She currently lives with her 21-year-old partner while studying for her neonatal nursing degree at a college in Denver. The two faced backlash over their three-year age gap after going public in 2021.
Plans to ‘meet in the middle’
Alana doesn’t want children at all, but she’s willing to have one to make her boyfriend happy. “I told him, ‘I can meet you in the middle and we can have one’. One and done, that’s it,” she told Daily Mail.
She revealed, “I personally know from being with him, he’s a good man, he takes care of me and he makes sure that I’m straight. I love him, I’m happy with him so that’s all that matters.”
