Man Utd star sends powerful four-word message after Scotland's Euro 2024 draw vs Switzerland

Manchester United star Scott McTominay has made his feelings perfectly clear after Scotland’s 1-1 draw against Switzerland at Euro 2024 in Germany this summer.

Scott McTominay has been a key player for Scotland boss Steve Clarke and was called up for his country’s Euro 2024 squad ahead of the tournament.

The 27-year-old Manchester United midfielder was in impressive goalscoring form for the Red Devils last season and during his country’s Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.

Steve Clarke’s men could still reach the knockout stages of Euro 2024, but Scotland face an uphill task in climbing out of Group A.

Scotland were reduced to 10 men and were hammered 5-1 in their Group A opener against host nation Germany at the Allianz Arena last week.

However, Clarke’s side rallied back from their thumping defeat to Germany and managed to pick up a point against Switzerland on Wednesday.

Scotland star McTominay sends message

Scott McTominay opened the scoring for Scotland in the 13th minute before Liverpool player Xherdan Shaqiri pulled back an equaliser for Switzerland.

Scotland walked away with a single point from the match, with Steve Clarke’s men in third place in Group A behind first-place Germany and second-place Switzerland.

Goal difference and a win against Hungary will be the key for Scotland to progress out of Group A and reach the knockout stages of the competition.

Scotland will face Hungary on Sunday in their final Group A match at the MHPArena in Stuttgart, while Switzerland take on Germany on the same day.

Germany have already punched their ticket to the knockout stages after Julian Nagelsmann’s men defeated Hungary 2-0 on Wednesday.

Manchester United star Scott McTominay took to Instagram after the 1-1 draw against Switzerland and sent out a rallying call ahead of the Hungary match.

“All or nothing Sunday,” he wrote on social media.

Clarke on Scotland and Euro 2024

Clarke has refused to rule out the idea that Scotland could still leapfrog Switzerland in Group A, despite the mammoth requirement for his country to do so.

“Yes, that’s what we expected,” he said after the Switzerland match, as per ESPN.

“This is the way we’ve been playing as a team over the past three or four years. We knew what we had to do, it was a good team performance against a good opponent.

“[It was a] good reaction to a disappointing night and we’re still alive in the tournament.”

The Scotland boss added: “It was about doing better all the time, sometimes it doesn’t go your way.

“Tonight was about getting back to what you’re good at — working hard.”
