As of today, since the beginning of the day on June 20, the number of hostilities has increased to 58. Half of them are ongoing, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Since the beginning of the day, the number of combat clashes has already increased to 58. Currently, half of them are taking place almost along the entire frontline. Russian troops are most active in the Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk sectors. Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back Russian attacks," the Ukraine's General Staff writes.
Sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, a Russian attack was repelled near the village of Tykhe. Russia also attacked Lyptsi, Neskuchne, and Vovchansk with guided aerial bombs.
In the Kupiansk sector, 7 combat engagements continue in the areas of Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Stelmakhivka, and Pishchane. 2 Russian attacks have already been repelled.
In the Lyman sector, Russia was stopped in the vicinity of Nevske. Russians continue to attack near Serhiivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russians are concentrating their efforts near Kalynivka and Chasiv Yar. 7 Russian attacks were repelled, and 6 more firefights are ongoing near Klishchiivka, Novyi, Toretsk, and Ivanivske.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russia maintains a high intensity of assault operations. Since the beginning of the day, the Russians have tried to improve the tactical situation in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Oleksandropil, Sokil, Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove and Novoselivka Persha 19 times. 11 Russian attacks were repelled, and 8 more are ongoing. Russia is most active near Novooleksandrivka.
8 Russian attacks were repelled in the Kurakhove sector. 3 firefights continue near Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka.
Russia's losses in war against Ukraine
Over the past 24 hours, on June 19, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1170 Russian troops. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia's manpower losses have totaled more than 530,000.
