Derby County have endured a rather slow start to the post-season, with Corey Blackett-Taylor the only signing to speak of.

Derby County loaned in Corey Blackett-Taylor from Charlton Athletic in January, with the signing having since been made permanent.

But the attacker remains Paul Warne’s only signing of what’s been a rather subdued start to the summer transfer window for the Rams.

The summer transfer window has been officially open for nearly a week, though Derby County are yet to bring in anyone new ahead of what promises to be a tough 2024/25 Championship campaign.

Derby County eyeing Marc Leonard at Brighton

Derby County are said to be among the teams eyeing a deal for Brighton midfielder Marc Leonard, who reportedly has six offers currently on the table.

Darren Witcoop says that Brighton are ready to sell central midfielder Leonard for a fee of £400,000, with the Scot having suitors in the Championship, League One, and overseas.

Last season, the 22-year-old scored five goals and assisted six more in 46 League One outings for Northampton Town.

Derby County handed Karamoko Dembele boost

Derby County are keen on Karamoko Dembele following his impressive 2023/24 season with Blackpool in League One.

On loan from Ligue 1 club Brest, the 21-year-odld scored eight goals and assisted 13 more in 39 League One appearances.

He’s wanted by a number of teams in the Premier League and Championship, with latest reports revealing that Dembele is set to be released by Brest this summer.

Derby County agree first summer signing

Derby County have, according to Alan Nixon, already agreed their first summer signing. Though who it is remains a mystery.

Nixon claims that the Rams have ‘agreed’ a deal to sign a Premier League youngster on loan this summer, but that said player may begin pre-season with his parent club.

One possible fit could be Liverpool’s Bobby Clarke, who Derby County are known admirers of.

Derby County eyeing former Premier League goalkeeper

After the surprising departure of last season’s League One Golden Glove winner Joe Wildsmith, Derby County are in desperate need of a new no.1 ahead of next season.

Reports in the Netherlands say that Derby County are in the race to sign goalkeeper Mathew Ryan, formerly of Arsenal and Brighton, who’s set to leave Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar as a free agent this summer.

Last season with Alkmaar, Ryan kept an impressive 13 clean sheets in 29 league games with AZ, also boasting 93 caps for his native Australia.
