Arteta told how much Arsenal have to pay to sign Euro 2024 star, he's already 'agreed' to join

Arsenal have reportedly been alerted how much they will need to pay in order to sign a rumoured target having had an opening bid rejected.

The Gunners have been somewhat quiet this summer despite the transfer window being open for business, with the north London side yet to make a new signing or sell a first-team player as rumours continue to swirl.

Despite the lack of action, the 2024 Euros have given Arsenal a good chance to eye some potential targets, with Turkey’s Arda Guler reportedly being scouted by the north London side, with the Real Madrid wonderkid a potential option for the Gunners.

Yet it appears that Arsenal are now making a serious move for Guler’s international teammate.

Arsenal sent £30m demand for Ferdi Kadioglu as £17m bid is rejected

According to Ajans Spor, Arsenal have been knocked down in their first attempt to sign Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu, with the Turkish giants rejecting a €20m (£17m) offer for the fullback.

As per the report, Fenerbahce are demanding as much as €35m (£30m) for the Turkish international, who started alongside Guler in Tuesday’s electric Euros group stage clash against tournament debutants Georgia.

With Kadioglu’s father claiming that the defender has already ‘agreed’ to join Arsenal, it could be a matter of time before the 24-year-old is en-route to north London, with Mikel Arteta agreeing to Fenerbahce’s demands.

Indeed, a left-back is on Arsenal’s agenda this summer given how much chopping and changing the role experienced this season, and Kadioglu could be the player to finally resolve the position for good this summer.

Kadioglu could be excellent for Arsenal’s fullback options

As well as playing left-back, Kadioglu has also enjoyed success playing out on the right, a position that Ben White has nailed down for his own at Arsenal having enjoyed yet another incredible year as a fullback.

Yet given how much Arteta appreciates players who can play in numerous positions, Kadioglu’s ability to operate on both flanks could be vital for Arsenal if the Gunners decide to meet Fenerbahce’s £30m demands for the defender.

Versatility has been key to Arsenal’s success under Arteta in recent years, and signing a player in Kadioglu could be huge for the Gunners in their quest to improve the squad and to bridge the gap with Manchester City.
