After watching Jamal Musiala score his second goal of the tournament in Germany’s recent 2-0 win over Hungary, Gary Lineker had this to say on The Rest Is Football about the midfielder, who a report from The Guardian claimed is a top transfer target for City this summer.
He said: “Musiala you know. I know we know he’s an incredible talent but boy oh boy he’s sharp. Magical.”
Musiala would be a star signing for City
The 21-year-old has scored 43 goals and provided 31 assists in 163 senior appearances for Bayern Munich across all competitions.
In his latest Bundesliga campaign with his current side, the German, who Eric Dier described as one of the best young talents he’s ever seen, racked up the joint-highest total of goal-creating actions (18) in the Bayern squad.
With two games now under his belt for Germany at the Euros, the midfielder has found the back of the net two times, with one coming in each match.
Having shown his talent for club and country, we feel that Musiala would be a star signing for City this summer if they were able to strike a deal with Bayern, who would presumably be keen to keep hold of him.
