King Frederik celebrates Denmark’s equaliser against England as Prince William watches on

King Fredrik of Denmark has been spotted cheering on the Denmark team at today's Euro match.

The royal was excited when Denmark equalised their score against England to make it 1-1.

Prince William has also been watching the game and was seen belting the national anthem at the start.

The pair stood together as they both supported their respective teams at the England vs Denmark match at the 2024 Euros.

Prince William's appearance at the Frankfurt Arena in Germany on Thursday comes the day before his 42nd birthday.

He has travelled to the event on his own as his wife Princess Kate recovers from her cancer diagnosis.

King Fredrik attended the game with his daughter Princess Josephine.

The match has fallen on a school night for Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six so the Prince of Wales has flown solo.

William, president of the Football Association, faced criticism last year for not attending the Women's World Cup final in Australia when the Lionesses lost to Spain.
