Several states have withdrawn their signatures from the communiqué following the Peace Summit, as Swiss officials hastily added them to the list of signatories without confirmation, according to the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.

"Swiss colleagues included some countries in the initial list of signatories they published, which had not yet finally confirmed their joining," Kuleba explained.

Following this, the aforementioned countries asked to be removed from the list of signatories.

The Minister noted that Russian propaganda was the first to start spreading the information on signature withdrawals.

Withdrawal of signatures

After the Peace Summit, it became known that Iraq and Jordan withdrew their signatures from the communiqué. This reduced the number of signatories from 80 to 78.

Later, Rwanda was also removed from the list of countries that joined the communiqué.
