The heir to turn-of-the-century tycoon Andrew Mellon's family fortune plunked down $50 million to former President Donald Trump's super PAC.

Timothy Mellon's gifted windfall to Make America Great Again Inc. came a day after Trump infamously was found guilty of committing 34 counts of falsifying business records by a New York City jury, according to The New York Times. The donation stands as one of the largest contributions contributions ever disclosed.

The donation is a massive infusion to a group that boasted $34.5 million in assets at the end of April and is responsible for the estimated $70 million that it raised in May, the outlet reported.

Mellon commands the title of being the first donor to offer $100 million in disclosed federal contributions in the 2024 presidential contest.

Until the revelation of the super PAC offering, he had already donated generously in 2023 — more than $50 million — split between Trump and groups affiliated with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who is running against him and incumbent President Joe Biden as an independent, USA Today reported.

The Times noted that Mellon's loyalty to Kennedy hasn't entirely waned, since he offered two $5 million donations in April to his super PAC.

He also helped bankroll a Texas-led fund to build an expanded wall dividing the Southern border with Mexico.

The monies pool with other deep-pocketed givers such as casino magnate and widow of Sheldon Adelson, Miriam Adelson, along with Illinois power couple Richard and Elizabeth Uihlein (who each offered the Trump super PAC $5 million) and $5 million from billionaire energy executive Kelcy Warren, according to The Times.

Trump will go up against Biden who has already secured spending to the tune of $1 billion in planned spending led by Biden's super PAC, Future Forward, the outlet reported.

Back in 2020, Mellon told Bloomberg heaped praise to Trump saying, “He’s done the things he promised to, or tried to do the things he’s promised to."
