2025 WR Shaun Terry commits to Missouri Tigers

Ironton (Ohio) three-star wide receiver Shaun Terry backed off his longtime commitment to Notre Dame earlier this month. And soon after, two schools were battling to land him: Michigan and Missouri.

Terry took official visits to both programs over the past two weeks, and on Sunday he made his decision: he’ll be a Tiger, playing for Eli Drinkwitz and Co.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Terry initially chose the Irish over more than offers, including Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Southern California and Wisconsin.

The On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting services — currently considers him the No. 472 overall player, No. 73 wide receiver and No. 17 prospect in Ohio.

The Tigers entered April with zero commitments this cycle but now have 11 in total just two months later. Seven prospects made the call in favor of the SEC program in Columbia in that month alone. None were bigger than Royersford (Pa.) Spring-Ford five-star quarterback Matt Zollers, who kicked things off by committing on April 4.

“My connections at Missouri were just greater than they were anywhere else,” Zollers told On3 upon his commitment.

Since adding the elite gunslinger, the Tigers staff wasted no time adding building blocks around Zollers. Belleville (Ill.) Althoff Catholic three-star defensive lineman Jason Dowell was the next to pledge on April 19. The flood gates opened from there.

Canton (Ohio) McKinley four-star linebacker Dante McClellan and Geismar (La.) Dutchtown three-star EDGE Joshua Lewis each committed on April 22. Eureka (Mo.) four-star offensive tackle Jack Lange — a top-200 overall recruit and the No. 1 prospect in Missouri — followed suit two days later.

“It’s close to home,” Lange told On3. “When I think of what I want in a college town, campus, academics and football, it’s everything that I want and I’m really excited to be a part of it. I’ve been told by Missouri’s coaches that I’m going to be a pillar in this recruiting class. I want to be able to help bring guys in and build this class up to something that’s really special. With me and Matt Zollers, I think we can really turn this thing into something that’s going to be great.”

Saint Louis DeSmet three-star LB Jason King and four-star EDGE Daeden Hopkins rounded out a spectacular month on the trail for the Tigers. Earlier this month, they added to the class with four-star interior lineman Henry Fenuku, safety Dyllon Williams and four-star running back Jamarion Morrow, one of the nation’s top all-purpose backs.

The Tigers’ class ranks No. 17 in the nation and No. 10 in the SEC, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
