Entire world celebrating Yoga under PM Modi's leadership: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi on 10th International Day of Yoga

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 21 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel on Friday, performed yoga at the Raj Bhawan on the occasion of 10th International Yoga Day.

CM Yogi congratulated all the people of the state and welcomed them to the program. He said the whole world is celebrating International Yoga Day under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

"All of you are welcome to this program of the 10th International Yoga Day at Raj Bhawan. Yoga Day is being celebrated across the country today. I congratulate the people of the entire state on the program of 10th International Yoga Day. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the whole world is celebrating International Yoga Day by joining together. Yoga shows humanity," he said.

The Chief Minister further said that Yoga connects the people both physically and mentally.

"Today, the respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will be seen doing yoga in Srinagar, India. Yoga connects us physically and mentally. There are different yoga activities for people of every age. If you practice it regularly, then you will always remain healthy," he said.

BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also performed Yoga with others at Roshan Bag in Rampur on, the International Day of Yoga.

PM Modi led the celebrations of the 10th International Day of Yoga at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar today.

This year's event underscores Yoga's profound impact on young minds and bodies. The celebration aims to unite thousands in the practice of Yoga, promoting health and wellness on a global scale.

This year's theme, "Yoga for Self and Society," emphasizes yoga's vital role in fostering both individual well-being and societal harmony.

Since 2015, the Prime Minister has led the International Day of Yoga (IDY) celebrations at various iconic locations, including Kartavya Path in Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Ranchi, Lucknow, Mysuru and even the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

This year's celebrations will span across the nation, with a notable event termed "Yoga for Space", wherein all the centres and units of ISRO will have programs on the practice of CYP or common Yoga Protocol. Globally, Embassies and Indian Missions abroad also joined in the celebrations, reflecting yoga's widespread influence. (ANI)
