On the night of June 21, several municipalities in Russia's Krasnodar Krai were attacked by drones, according to Russian Telegram channels.
In the Afipsky area of Krasnodar Krai, more than ten explosions were heard. According to locals, the first explosions occurred around 1:40 AM, preceded by the distinctive sound of UAVs flying overhead. Following several loud bangs, a flash was seen near the local thermal power plant.
Reports on social media also indicated a drone attack in Yeysk. After the UAV attacks, local channels reported a fire, noting that there is a military airfield in the city.
Additionally, explosions were heard in Krasnodar, the Seversky District of the region, Enem, and the village of Yablonovsky in Adygea.
Later, the Krasnodar Krai Operational Headquarters issued an official statement. They claimed that the Temryuksky, Yeysky, and Seversky districts had been subjected to a massive attack overnight. As a result of air defense actions, the drones were reportedly shot down.
"In the Temryuksky district, debris fell on a guest house in the village of Khvilya. There were no casualties or injuries. Hotel guests were evacuated. There is no serious infrastructure damage. Emergency services are working at the scene.
The drone attack was also repelled in the Yeysky district. There are no civilian casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure. Special operational services are working on the ground. Information is being clarified.
Additionally, due to the work of air defense systems, enemy UAVs were shot down in the village of Afipsky. There is no damage," the statement said.
The United States has allowed Ukraine to use American weapons to strike any Russian targets attacking the country from its territory. This means that strikes are no longer limited to Russian forces in the Kharkiv region.
Previously, RBC-Ukraine reported that the US would accelerate the supply of Patriot and NASAMS missiles to Ukraine to help the country protect its infrastructure, which Russia is attempting to destroy before winter.
