Future Prospects Group wins award for Business Innovation at the Newark Business Awards

The winner of the Business Innovation award went to the professional services provider, Future Prospects Group.

The business specialises in recruitment and training solutions for companies on a local, regional, and national basis.

Initially set up as a permanent recruitment business, they have continued to evolve and place innovation at the heart of everything they do.

“We are massively excited to win this award, there was a really varied range of finalists in our category and we are delighted to win this award.

“For us one of our big values is continuous improvement and this is part of it, we have added new processors in, new technology and this new software will allow us to continue to do what we do and get even better.”

The business was born out of a desire to create a better solution for both clients and candidates back in 2012, by utilising technology and streamlining processes.

Continuous improvement is one of their core values, with the belief that they can only grow and succeed if they continue to innovate, challenge themselves and aim to improve along the way.

Since being established Future Prospects Group have created bespoke software applications to manage and track candidate applications, while also creating online portals for candidates and clients to have full visibility of the recruitment process.

They also built a custom applicant tracking system, along with functionality for the team to manage all of the backend administration processes.

As part of their goal of continued innovation and growth, over the past 12 months the company have completely rebuild the software from the ground up, adding new key features into the software based on ideas and suggestions from their team.

Highly commended in this category were Angell’s Fisheries, which bookend a successful evening for the fish and chip shop.

They were recognised for their innovation within the industry and their unique engagement with the community.

The shop has expanded their range of menu items to allow customers with intolerances or special diets to dine with them.

They also mark national celebrations such as the recent D-Day commemorations through activities, entertainment and deals.

As well as this, they have extended opening hours, offer a click and collect service, and plan to use a mobile van to travel to events and cater to new customers, and expand across social media platforms.
