A Democrat who's vying for a shot to face Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) for a congressional seat trolled the Colorado Republican in a new ad that highlights her ejection from a musical theater performance.

John Padora, one of three Democrats seeking the party's nomination for the 4th district seat held by the retiring Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO), released a video filmed in the Denver theater that Boebert was kicked out of for vaping and lewd behavior, reported Newsweek.

"I'm sitting in the very same seat that Lauren Boebert got kicked out of, the same way she got kicked out of Colorado's 3rd Congressional District," Padora said. "Now she's picked up her bags and fled to eastern Colorado to run in the Fourth Congressional District. That's a race I've been running since May of 2023."

The Donald Trump-endorsed Boebert currently represents Colorado's 3rd District but decided to run in the more conservative 4th district rather than face off against two well-funded challengers.

"Boebert is an opportunistic carpetbagger, and we deserve real leadership here in Colorado 4th," Padora said in his fundraising pitch.

Polls show Boebert is favored to win the Republican nomination in Tuesday's primary over business owner Peter Yu, her closest rival, while Padora is leading Trisha Calvarese and Ike McCorkle.

The MAGA lawmaker initially denied vaping in the theater, where a pregnant woman had asked her to stop smoking, but she backtracked after surveillance video showed her doing that and groping a male companion before security guards escorted them out.

“Whether it was the excitement of seeing a much-anticipated production or the natural anxiety of being in a new environment," Boebert said in a statement, "I genuinely did not recall vaping that evening when I discussed the night's events with my campaign team while confirming my enthusiasm for the musical. It’s clear now that was not accurate.”
