Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's new court filing that urges an appeals court to extend Donald Trump's gag order gave terrifying details Friday of new threats against prosecutors.

MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin said the latest warnings include “bomb threats at the homes of two people involved in this case" on the first day of the trial, as well as online threats against the D.A. and those working in his office.

Posts also appeared online that included the home addresses of those working in the office, she said. Another threat put "sniper sights on people involved in this case or a family member of such a person."

Threats sent directly to the district attorney included messages such as "we will kill you all," telling recipients that they "should be in witness protection," and "your life is done."

The gag order was put in place to stop Trump from threatening jurors, witnesses and court staff. Trump has appealed it, saying it's no longer needed and it's hindering his campaigning.

When it comes to trial witnesses, the D.A. agreed in his filing that it's acceptable to drop the gag order as their part in the trial is complete. Only sentencing remains, scheduled for July 11.

Trump was convicted of 34 charges involving business fraud involving payments made to an adult movie actress to buy her silence about a sexual relationship she claimed she had with Trump.

Lifting the gag order from witnesses would allow Trump to go after his former lawyer Michael Cohen and the actress, Stormy Daniels.

At one point, the "D.A. claps back at Trump's 'patent disrespect' for the rule of law," observed Rubin.

She specifically pointed to Trump's claim that Bragg colluded with President Joe Biden to silence Trump. The D.A. highlights Trump's own filing that claims the Biden is currently "winning" the election.

According to Rubin, the language used by Bragg is "some of the strongest language I can recall ever seeing from government lawyers."

Among the comments, they say that Trump “offers no factual basis for this assertion, and there is none: The claim is a lie.”

Trump's lawyers are moving forward with the appeal, and last week, Rubin said that Bragg is fully prepared to "knock out" Trump's last-minute challenges.
