Russian army shells Vovchansk region, victim reported

This morning, on June 21, Russian troops shelled the Vovchansk community in the Kharkiv region. As a result, an employee of Ukrposhta (Ukrainian postal service company - ed.) was killed, according to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

According to him, an employee of the Ukrposhta mobile office in the Vovchansk community was killed while transporting and delivering pensions.

"Today around 10 a.m., the occupants committed the crime. The driver who accompanied the woman was also wounded. An enemy drone hit their car," the head of the region wrote.

He specified that the injured man walked to Buhaivka, where the military saw him. He was hospitalized in Kharkiv.

However, there is no access to the place of death now due to intense shelling.

Situation in the Vovchansk direction

More than a month ago, the Russian forces launched an offensive in the north of Kharkiv region and partially advanced in Vovchansk.

At the same time, the Russian troops are suffering heavy losses in this direction of the front. Recently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the Kremlin plans to engage units of the 155th Separate Marine Brigade from the Pacific Fleet to perform tasks in this direction.
