Hillsborough Deputies Arrest Suspect In Lithia Homicide

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) has made an arrest in connection with a homicide that occurred in Lithia last month.

On May 10, 2024, deputies responded to a call at the 5500 block of Kinglethill Drive and discovered 58-year-old Herbert Harris deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

After conducting a thorough investigation, detectives identified Christian Freebourn, 28, as a suspect in the homicide.

"Thanks to the diligent efforts of our detectives, we have successfully arrested the suspect in this tragic case," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "This arrest brings us one step closer to justice for the victim and their family. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time."

Freebourn was arrested on June 21st, 2024, without incident and is now facing charges of Murder in the Second Degree.pen_sparkcircle
