Russia's losses in Ukraine as of June 22: Over 1000 troops and almost 30 artillery systems

Russian losses in the war in Ukraine as of Saturday morning, June 22, amounted to 1,110 occupiers. The total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion is 533,090 military personnel. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed four missiles and eight tanks, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to June 22, 2024, are estimated as follows:

  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 15,383 (+11)
  • Artillery systems: 14,188 (+28)
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1,106

Situation on the front

On the front line, there were 120 combat clashes on June 21, with intense fighting continuing in the Pokrovsk direction. Meanwhile, Russian troops intensified their assaults in the Kherson region but were unsuccessful.

According to the Institute for the Study of War, the Russians may have intensified attacks in the Toretsk direction to advance towards Chasiv Yar from the south. Additionally, enemy advances were recorded near Kupiansk and Svatove.
