Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 22

Since the beginning of the day on June 22, there have been over fifty skirmishes on the front line, with nearly half of them occurring in the Pokrovsk direction, according to General Staff's report as of 10:00.

"Since the beginning of this day, there have already been 53 skirmishes. The occupiers conducted nine aerial strikes using nineteen CABs and shelled our troops' positions and civilian areas over 600 times," the statement reads.

Situation on fronts

In the Kupiansk direction, there have been eight enemy attacks in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Miasozharivka, and Stelmakhivka since the start of the day. Six attempts by the occupiers to advance against the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repelled, with two assaults ongoing. The situation remains under control.

Moderate activity by Russians is observed in theSiversk direction. Currently, the enemy has attempted thirteen times to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka. Seven attacks by Russian occupiers have been repulsed, with battles continuing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers persist in attempting to advance towards Chasiv Yar, with ongoing fighting nearby. Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding their ground and providing a strong response to the aggressor.

Units of the Defense Forces are holding back the enemy in the Horlivka – Toretsk direction. The battle continues.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders are taking measures to prevent Russian forces from advancing deeper into the territory. As of today, there have already been 21 skirmishes. The enemy continues to press on the positions of our defenders near Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Yevhenivka, Sokil, Novoselivka Persha, and Novopokrovske. Nine attacks have been repulsed, with fighting ongoing. The situation is under control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In the Kurakhove direction, three enemy assaults near Heorhiivka and Paraskeviivka have not succeeded.

In the Vremiivka direction, the enemy's attack near Staryi Maiorsk remains unsuccessful, with another battle ongoing near Vodiane.

In the Orikhiv direction, the assault by occupation forces near Robotyne was unsuccessful. Two more skirmishes continue near Mala Tokmachka and Kamyanske.

In the remaining directions, the situation has not significantly changed.

Russian Federation losses in Ukraine

Russian losses in the war in Ukraine as of Saturday morning, June 22, amounted to 1,110 occupiers. The total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion is 533,090 military personnel. Additionally, Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed four rockets and eight tanks.

Specifically, according to updated information from the General Staff, Russian losses in the Kurakhiv direction over the past day included over 180 killed and wounded, with two tanks, two artillery systems, and a vehicle destroyed.
