Russia plans to join its corps operating in the direction of Kharkiv with units of the separate 9th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Army of the Russian Federation, says Yurii Povkh, spokesperson for the Kharkiv military command post.

"It is currently known that the enemy is making another attempt to rotate its units in the Kharkiv sector in the areas of Tykhe, Hlyboke and Vovchansk, and plans to join units of the separate 9th motorized rifle brigade of the 51st Army of the Russian Federation to its corps operating in the Kharkiv sector," he said.

According to him, this brigade is being redeployed from the strategic depths of Russian territory. Now Russia is trying to reinforce its grouping of troops not only in the Kharkiv sector, but along the entire front line.

"But the enemy is doing a very poor job of it, because the capabilities of our artillery and other long-range firepower have increased. So now there is a certain parity of fire damage and our artillery is working at full capacity," he noted.

Situation at the front

In May, Russian troops launched an offensive in the Kharkiv region to capture Vovchansk and advance to Kharkiv through Lyptsi. However, the Russians failed to realize this plan.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the main enemy's combat actions are observed in the Pokrovske direction. Only today, Russian troops conducted more than 20 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian military there.

Recently, Nazar Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops, said that Russian troops had suspended their combat operations in the Kharkiv region.
