Airstrike on building in Kharkiv: State Emergency Service clarified casualties, rescue operations completed

In Kharkiv, the emergency rescue work at the site of a residential building hit by an air bomb during yesterday's attack by Russian forces has been completed as of this morning, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).

Yes, according to updated information, the number of casualties from the enemy airstrike on the five-story building amounted to two people. Earlier, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported three casualties.

According to the SES, 53 people were injured, including three children.

"At this address, as a result of the air bomb hitting, two people died, and 53 others were injured, including 3 children," the rescuers' statement said.

As reported by the SES, as of 06:30 on June 23, emergency rescue work at the site of the airstrike on the residential five-story building was completed.

"A total of 116 SES employees and 24 units of emergency rescue equipment were involved at the scene," the rescuers added.

Russian airstrike with a guided bomb on Kharkiv

Yesterday, on June 22, Russian forces dropped 4 guided aerial bombs on Kharkiv, and one of them hit a residential building.

As of yesterday evening, the number of casualties from the KAB strike on Kharkiv exceeded 50 people, including children. Three deaths have been confirmed.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already responded to the shelling of Kharkiv, calling on partners to make strong decisions that would help the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Russian military aviation in Russian territory.
