Arsenal fans are all saying the same thing about Leandro Trossard after Belgium win at Euro 2024

Arsenal fans have had their say on Leandro Trossard after the forward featured for Belgium against Romania at Euro 2024.

Leandro Trossard has endured a difficult start to Euro 2024.

Having lost their first game in the competition against Slovakia, Belgium were able to bounce back with a 2-0 win over Romania on Saturday.

Trossard started the first match against Slovakia. The Arsenal attacker was deployed in his preferred position on the left flank, but could not produce a performance anything like what fans of the North London club would have expected from him.

Trossard was rated a 1/10 by a section of the Belgian press for his showing in that game, and subsequently lost his place in the national team’s starting XI. Against Romania, the 29-year-old was not introduced to the action by Domenico Tedesco until the second half, with 35 minutes to go.

Once again, Trossard failed to impress, and might have done better with a number of scenarios in the final third.

Arsenal would have been keen for Trossard to shine at Euro 2024, for the sake of his transfer value, but it has been an entirely forgettable tournament for the forward so far.

Arsenal fans react to Leandro Trossard struggles for Belgium at Euro 2024

After this match, plenty of Arsenal fans took to X to give their verdict on the former Brighton & Hove Albion man’s performance.

One supporter said: “Trossard was awful.”

Another agreed, claiming: “Trossard was terrible.”

Another added: “Trossard is not playing well.”

One fan stated: “Arteta is legit a miracle worker, because dunno how he got bums like Trossard on 13 plus goals. Pound for Pound we have no business chasing City, many of our players are system players especially the forwards. Give another manager that squad and we probably end up 5th.”

Mikel Arteta will be keeping a close eye on all Arsenal players competing at Euro 2024, hoping that they can impress and avoid injury.

Arteta and Trossard have shared a fractious relationship in the past, but the Spanish coach will still be desperately hoping that the player can rediscover his best form quickly for his country.

There was some talk about transfers based off the Euros, with Arsenal-linked Amadou Onana’s display for Belgium discussed, whilst Leandro Trossard’s poor performance was analysed, and Bukayo Saka’s sensational England showing lauded.
