Ukrainian missiles kill three, injure scores in Sevastopol in Crimea

A Ukrainian missile attack on the port city of Sevastopol on the Russian-occupied Crimean Peninsula has claimed the lives of three people, including two children, and caused scores of injuries, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev reported.

"The number injuries has risen to almost 100," Razvozhayev posted on his Telegram channel.

The Russian Defence Ministry reported in Moscow that Ukraine had fired five US-made ATACMS missiles at the city, four of which had been intercepted.

"Another missile deviated from its course as a result of action taken by the air defences and exploded over the city area," it said. Many of the victims are reported to have been enjoying the sun on Uchkuyevka beach to the north of the city when the missile fragments came down.

Images of a burning private house were also shown. Razvozhayev said all the available medical facilities had been mobilized to assist the injured.
