The Pan-African Parliament (PAP) was established in 2004 as one of the nine African Union organs (AU) organs, with its headquarters in Midrand, South Africa.
Hon. Philip Agbese, a Nigerian House of Representatives member, praised Hon. Benjamin Kalu for bringing extensive experience and expertise to the Pan-African Parliament (PAP).
Agbese, a PAP member, expressed optimism about Deputy Speaker Kalu’s upcoming role as one of 21 new members, who would be sworn in during Monday’s third ordinary session of the sixth parliament’s opening in Midrand, South Africa.
Agbese’s congratulatory message highlighted that Kalu’s appointment allows Nigeria to influence the continent’s legislative direction significantly.
He believes Kalu’s leadership and diplomatic skills will enhance collaboration among member states, promote knowledge sharing, and advance PAP’s goals.
