Norfolk Police charge Alexander Grimes with attempted arson in West Winch

A 22-year-old has been charged with attempted arson following an incident in West Winch last week.

Police were called to Row Hill on Thursday at 6.10pm following reports of a domestic incident.

A man aged in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of attempted arson and criminal damage, and was taken to hospital for treatment.

He was later transferred to the Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Alexander Grimes, who lives on Row Hill, was subsequently charged with attempted arson and criminal damage. He appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

He was released on conditional bail until his next court hearing on July 19 at Norwich Crown Court.
