Brad Keselowski just opened up about his future in NASCAR as the 2024 Cup Series season enters the second half. While speaking to Kevin Harvick on Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour, the 40-year-old driver weighed in on how much longer he will drive for RFK Racing.

“This last week, somebody asked me ‘How many more years you want to go?’ I said, Well, ‘I left the Coke 600 thinking if I had five more laps I could win the race,'” Keselowski said. “Then the rain came, and I got out of the car after the race and said I have 10 more years left.

“The week or two before I was in Noth Wilkesboro in the All-Star Race and I think we ran next to last. And I was like ‘I can’t do this any longer. I’m out.’ You go through this emotional roller coaster. Healthwise I feel great. It’s not really a health thing. it’s really a mental thing of how long can you endure the emotional roller coaster. One of the big factors for me is I want my kids to see me winning races. There’s a lot of people that say when a race car driver has a family that ‘Ah, he loses a little bit of his edge.’ To some degree, I almost feel the opposite. I want to feel like a winner to my kids.”

Keselowski said he wants his kids to have the “core memory” of him winning races since he had that with his father. “I think that connects to how long I want to race because my youngest kid is seven months old,” he said. “That almost serves as the opposite of what the stereotype is. I want to go longer for my kids.”

Brad Keselowski is having a strong 2024 Cup Series Season

Keselowski is showing no signs of slowing down. Along with the win at Darington, Keselowski has recorded six top-five finishes and is currently 10th in the Cup Series standings. The win at Darlington is Keselowski’s first victory for RFK Racing as he joined the team in 2022. He has spent the majority of his career with Team Penske and won a Cup Series title for the team in 2012.

“What a heck of a day,” Keselowski said after the Darlington race, per NASCAR.com. “It’s Darlington, so whether it’s your first win, your last win, this is a really special track. The history of NASCAR, it’s as tough as it gets, and that battle at the end with my teammate and Tyler Reddick, we just laid it all out on the line, it was freaking awesome.”
